Mauricio is a Mexican Emmy Winning Actor & Recording Artist who made his Broadway debut playing ‘Emilio Estefan’ in the Musical “On Your Feet! The Story Of Emilio & Gloria Estefan” and can currently be seen in NBC Universo’s original TV series “El Vato” on Netflix. He recently starred in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical memoir ‘Unmasked’ at PaperMill Playhouse.
This bold crossover talent is a household name in Mexico & Latin America, having starred as the leading man in the Mexican productions of the Broadway musicals "Beauty & The Beast”, “Saturday Night Fever”, "The Drowsy Chaperone", "Sweet Charity", the premiere Spanish versions of Off Broadway's "The Last 5 Years", "Songs From An Unmade Bed" and in plays such as Arthur Miller's "A View From The Bridge” & "Toyer".
Mauricio’s television credits include multiple Telenovela’s in Univision and Telemundo like “Señora Acero” and appearances on CBS performing a tribute to Gloria Estefan at the 40th Annual Kennedy Honors in Washington, DC, as well as in “The Talk” and in “The 2019 Gershwin Prize” on PBS (performing next to artists like Cindy Lauper, Rita Moreno, Andy García and Gloria Estefan).
His sold out concert “De Mexico To Broadway” at 54 Below in 2018 & 2019 inspired him to begin writing based on his journey.
His two Latin Pop albums are available in iTunes worldwide & he is currently working on his third album with Broadway Records.

Learning from Broadway Artists with careers that span the continents like Mauricio's gives our students a broader world view, opens doors to new opportunities, and inspires them to touch a wider range of people around the world with their talent.
First, the class starts with a lecture from Mauricio where he will talk for around 30 minutes on so many valuable things to know about the industry and what you need to do to get started on the right track to be successful.
Next,10 lucky participants will get to sing 16-32 bars of their audition cuts for Mauricio, and he will give them individualized critiques on how to improve the quality of their voice and work based on his extensive experience as a live performer and recording artist. There will be a Q&A to finish where students can ask Mauricio any questions relating to the industry that pertain to them.
